The waves of the sea rage within their eyes. Even the farthest descendant of the Vancier line carries with them the call of the waters. The bright sea glows within the iris of every Vancier

Age/Description

The bright glowing blue that's found in their eyes will enchant the most earnest of souls. It's said that when the storms rage their eyes glow bright as they commune with the sea. Their build is medium and they almost appear average, like any human who might have arrived in Edalon through the portal, but the bright blue of their eyes would give them away. The men are known for the elaborate beards and the ladies are known for the braids in their hair. All braids hold in them a story or a meaning, honoring a loved one or life event. The ladies are revered for their beauty and desired by many, the men are known for being wise beyond their years. The average life span of a Vancier is roughly 115 years, with some living deep into their elderly years.

Alignment

They have always been in it for themselves. They have lived a nearly nomadic life, crossing the sea from one home to the other. Because of the desire to not settle down, they have been driven to take care of their own and watch out for their family. While they are known for a Chaotic stance on their worldly views, they range from Good to Evil, most standing firmly in a Chaotic Neutral alignment.

Names

There names flow like the sound of the sea and the waves that crash against the sand. Seshahn Troilik and his father Hesashin Troilik helped transport the party that closed the portal, with the Princess of Nenvan, Yshea Hahonili in attendance. She helped in defending the Nerite Battery and ultimately gave up her position when going through the portal.

Vanciers reach adulthood at about 20 years, with some living deep into their elderly years. A few families have reported having an elder pass at the age of 120 or 130, this is not common and most reach their elder years around 80.
