After thousands of years in known peace, the inhabitants of Edalon were bombarded by unknown races. A portal between Eberron and Edalon was opened, and races from the unknown world poured in. In search of refuge, many towns and cities opened their doors, some (Hentati and The Qorum) did not share the views of the others. They locked their doors and refused entry to anyone that was not of Edalon blood. It was not long, however, before races began to mingle and those of Original Edalon decent were no longer easy to tell from someone who was not. The rift the open portal created began to destroy the world of Edalon. On the night of the 5th moon, in the year of Corata, a great flood tormented the lands of Edalon. An entire island was washed under, the land bridge from Epios to Kodaven was crushed and torn apart. Much of the Northen parts of the world are now under water.
A decision had to be made, the portal had to be closed. As the area around the portal became dead, the city of Etlati abandoned, a group of adventures took on the task to close the portal. They went through the portal with a Nerite Battery, designed by the elder of La'Koda to close the portal. Sadly, they were lost in the portal when the battery engulfed it, leaving only ruins.
Since the closing of the portal, the world had been under turmoil. Brother fighting brother, neighbor against neighbor, all in the name of the great prophecy. That the descendants of the great adventurers will return and restore peace to the land. In the waiting, meteors have crashed through the sky and torn more of the world apart. One particular rock landed and melted much of the mountains on Epios, sending a great flood through the rivers and submerging Vinla under water.
Will the children of the adventurers come and restore peace to this once peaceful land?
