Karahmu, a large hulking "beast", finds himself far away from his home in Ravnica.

Physical Description

Karahmu is large. He stands nearly 8 feet tall and weighs in at nearly 400 pounds. Even for a loxodon, he's on the higher end of the size spectrum. His skin is light grey, nearing white. His eyes glow an emerald green. He wears very basic clothing, accented by a blue cloak. He carries a quarterstaff in his right hand and a fairly basic shield in his left. The inward facing side of the shield is adorned with one tusk, one loxodon ear, and one small portion of loxodon trunk.

Backstory

Karahmu was born in the city-plane of Ravnica. Since birth, he was drawn to nature, specifically the sky and stars. Upon coming of age, he joined the Selesnya Conclave. They were based in the North Ridge Forest, so it was definitely the closest to nature that he could get. They still often did business within the busier parts of the city, though. Sometimes, the guild would call upon him to carry out missions. For years, he did as they wished, regardless of the mission. He was called to quietly assassinate civilians who questioned the guild, among other jobs. On one of these jobs, Karahmu was called upon to quietly influence a vocal opponent of the Conclave to become... less vocal. Unfortunately, the target refused and had to be neutralized. Members of the target's guild found his assassin and pledged to make him regret it. Slowly, Karahmu's loved ones went missing. He would receive a tusk, an ear, part of a trunk, or other assorted bits in packages left at his door. He tried to find the members of the opposing guild that were torturing him and his loved ones, but was never able to do so.

Karahmu withdrew. He withdrew from society, from his guild, from himself. He focused his energies on nature. He spent more and more of his time in the North Ridge Forest. He spent time in the area of the world tree, Vitu-Ghazi. He watched the stars. He started loving star-gazing. He began to dream of leaving Ravnica. He'd lost his immediate family in retribution. His family members didn't deserve what happened to them, but Karahmu deserved the pain inflicted upon him. He'd inflicted that pain on others for years. He'd lost his parents (father Baradov and mother Doova), as well as his younger sister, Taro.

Amongst his parents' things, he found a map of the constellations that belonged to his father. After diving into druidic studies, he learned to harness the power of the stars, channeling that power through his father's star chart. He became convinced that his family was with him, in spirit, wherever he went, and that they'd simply become one with nature. Years later, he still regrets that his actions cost his family members their lives. He won't allow that to happen to anyone he cares about ever again.

Lore: Karahmu wakes up in the North Ridge with a strange envelope to his side. It directs him to the Scholar's Study. Upon reaching the Study, he found a strange door with the same seal as the letter. Upon opening the door, he found only a desk with a lit candle and a blue envelope with his name on it. He touched the envelope and was instantly teleported to a new world, Edalon. He finds 6 people with him. Five others that appear to be fairly well geared and one who is documenting the others. The one documenting, Wrynn, took our names and races, then left. That night, Melvin (the rabbit person), heard a wailing noise in the distance and found a ghost in a nearby destroyed house. It screamed and aged Melvin and Rhys (our human artificer) by 20 years. The rest of the party is awoken and the ghost is killed. Rhys finds and kills a scared hand in the loft of the destroyed house. Everyone beds down for the rest of the night.
Mechanics: The party is level 3. XP gain of 210, making our new total 1,110.
