Kadari

Believed to have been created by La'Kata herself, the Kadari are an embodiment of La'Koda. Dwelling primarily on the Island and working hard at sea, descendants have been recorded in some major cities as Vizir and Chancellor to the ruling party.

Ancient but Wise

Their medium frame seeming oddly deceptive in the strength it holds, most are tall and lean, coming in at nearly 7 feet tall and weighing in at around 250 pounds. Aside from their tall stature, you would have a difficult time picking them out from other humanoid races. Their features are generally simple and soft, with a strong resemblance to elves and humans.

In centuries passed, during the age of The Portal, it is said they began to mix their race with many of the Human and Elvish races that were arriving. To this day, some Kadari still carry the pointed ears of elves and some carry harsher features of the humans. While they may show some resemblances to the mingling of races in their history, their height remains at the forefront of their signature features.

Kadari will live as long as their tree, which is planted on the soil of La'Koda. Due to the mixing of races, however, their lifespans have shortened. Many, like The Elder, have lived for nearly 1000 years. Now, with other races blended in with them, the life of their tree has shortened to nearly half, to roughly 500 years.

Strong Connections

Their connection with Edalon and the elements had proven invaluable to them as they continue to be ambassadors to many of the ruling cities. Whispers on the sea, have told of how the waters cry out for the children of the Kadari to come and sing to them. Their natural ties have kept them in a close desire to what is right by the law of the world, finding themselves in a more Lawful Neutral stance. As with any race, you will find the outcasts and defiant alignments among them. Those with more evil intentions seem to have isolated themselves, ashamed of what the elements whisper about them.

Kadari Names

To show respect La'Kata, descendants honor her with the preface of "La" in their names, following it with whichever name they choose. Taking for them no surname, they bear only a title to decipher their element of preference. The greatest of Kadari was the late La'Torion of The Whirling Tempest. Her desire to connect with the wind was apparent in her title, bestowed upon her by the elements. She was one of the chosen to bear the Nerite Battery to close The Portal.

Kadari Traits

Age

Kadari's age is as old as their tree, planted deep in the forest on La'Koda. It is very common for Kadari to live well into their 400th year, sadly some are cut short by the destruction of their trees. Entering into the young adulthood in their 75th year, they begin to venture to the world outside of their island.

Alignment

Their natural ties have kept them in a close desire to what is right by the law of the world, finding themselves in a more Lawful Neutral stance. As with any race, you will find the outcasts and defiant alignments among them. Those with more evil intentions seem to have isolated themselves, ashamed of what the elements whisper about them.

Size

Being of a medium size, they are often misunderstood to seem larger. Their tall stature has often given them the title of giant, but they still remain medium in size, but I suppose to a child 7 feet tall would be a giant.

Child of La'Kata

The children of La'Koda were blessed by La'Kata, the great Goddess of the island. That blessing gave them and their descendants great strength, ensuring they could handle their life on the island without being tempted away. With that strength, she also blessed them with wisdom. With the hopes her children would be able to discern right from wrong, she left them to take care of the land. Keeping communication open with them, through the winds of the air, the grass beneath them or the water that beat against the sand. Her voice carried to them the comfort and love that she was always with them.
