La'Kata (pronounced LA-kaht-ah), the goddess of the isle. Her passion for the animals and plants of Epios spurred into isolation. Living amongst the trees and embracing the solitary life. It was during the The First Shift, as beings began to increase in their habitation of Edalon, that La'Kata came out of hiding. As she felt her connection to the elements increase, she felt the decrease in the ties of the elements. As she walked the forest, she saw it was disappearing and the heartfelt cry as she mourned it's loss was heard throughout Epios.

Going to the Southern edge, she isolated herself once more in the forest. Her tears shed repeatedly for the loss of the forest. The few beings that followed her, also felt the mutual love for nature and it's animals. It would not be long until the war was over and those that settled the land soon chased La'Kata and her followers from their hiding places.

During the time of the flood, when the land bridge that connected Kodaven to Epios disappeared, La'Kata and her followers were forced to flee their homes. Chased by Henat's followers deep into the North, the crossed what was left of the landbridge into Kodaven. The elements began to respond to the intruders that chased La'Kata to the isles. Her blessing from Kenutat allowed her to commune with nature. This beautiful gift was bestowed upon her followers. Those that carried a true blessing from La'Kata also bore runes upon their bodies. This runes would arrive shortly after birth and were in La'Kata's native (and ancient) language.

History

Mortal

Before ascending to godhood, Henat was one of four siblings that dwelled on Edalon. His sister, La'Kata, and twin brothers, Vancira and Marig, dwelled among the lands of Epios. The world was young and the inhabitants were few. Their Mother sent them to Edalon to learn the ways of those that dwelled there. While the inhabitants were few, they took up their residence in the dense forests of Epios.

It was in the time of The First Shifting, that Henat became blessed with his gifts. He and his siblings began to defend their land from those that were coming over. Emotions ran high, as they watched those that they had come to love fall to the hand of the intruders. Henat's ferocity sent him running into a battle with blind rage. It was his passion that caused Kenutat to bless him. In that battle, Henat rose to godhood.

After The First Shifting, Henat took up residence in the Northen part of Epios. Isolating himself from his siblings, knowing the horrible deeds he had done. His face marred with scars from battle.

It would be centuries of dwelling in the North, among those that worshipped him, before Kenutat would call him home.

Godhood

Those that worshipped him, did so in times of need. As war would approach, the calls to him for help would rise higher. Offerings of gold and gems were brought to makeshift altars in the frozen North. He would ignore them, having no need for currency. It was not long until bloodshed offerings would get his attention. Those that mimicked his scars would be blessed with some of his power. Soon an entire civilization was created to honor Henat.
