Marig (pronounced MĀR-ihg), the Lord of the Desert, born the youngest of the four siblings and the twin to Vancira. His passions burned hot and his hungers were insatiable. His desires and passions would quickly bring forth a war that would drive Edalon into a time of division.
History
Mortal
Just before the The First Shifting, his siblings had recruited him to join their fight. They wanted to protect the world from intruders that were coming over from other planes. World's that brought new ideas, people and tortures. With his passions running high, he quickly joined their fight. As mortals he and his siblings were courageous and strong. Viewed as hero's among the natives. He and his brothers were viewed as handsome in the eyes of many ladies that caught their eye. There was one, though, that caught the eye of Marig and his twin.
Godhood
The twins fight for their passion raged deep into the time after the war. It was not long until the two were soon clashing swords against the other. In a fight for the love of the one their heart desired, the two brothers turned the forces of Edalon against the other. While many stories tell the tale differently, it commonly thought that Marig's passions ran high and torched the land Marigau. In the desilate state, it was Vancira's mercy that quenched the fires that Marig brought upon his people. His hunger for his beloved only burned hotter as she soon denied him the honor of her hand.
Denied, alone and mourning, Marig left his people to the desert land he created. The burning sun turned their skin and his blessing lingered in the bloodline of the royals.
